I have been word tagged by Urmea.
Here are a few of my favorite words.
Chutzpah: Utter nerve; effrontery (From dictionary.com).
Reason I like it: I admire people with this quality in them.
Mellifluous: Flowing with sweetness or honey.
Smooth and sweet.
Reason I like it: The way the word rolls off your tongue, you don’t need a dictionary to know what it means.
Rambunctious: Boisterous and disorderly.
Reason I like it : The way I am. After I have downed a few.
Hedonism: Pursuit of or devotion to pleasure, especially to the pleasures of the senses.
Philosophy:The ethical doctrine holding that only what is pleasant or has pleasant consequences is intrinsically good.
Psychology:The doctrine holding that behavior is motivated by the desire for pleasure and the avoidance of pain.
Reason I like it: The only word I believe in.
Discombobulated: To throw into a state of confusion.
Reason I like it: Nothing better to throw a person into a state of confusion than using this word in a sentence.
Legerdemain: Sleight of hand. A show of skill or deceitful cleverness
Reason I like it: Isn’t that what life is all about—-a sleight of hand?
Phantom Vision: Seeing images after total loss of eyesight
Reason I like it: All is never lost.
A few Bengali words I like:
Bawali: A state of mind characterized by total abdication of reason for the purple pleasure of the moment.
Reason I like it: Zen according to me is this.
Jhari: Eyeing a member of the opposite sex.
Reason I like it: So many ways to ogle—angular jhari, paraxial jhari, normal jhari (the boldest of them all)——all in just one word

Interesting how many lists “mellifluous” is on – mine too! And rambunctious and legerdemain would be up there as well.
Interestingly enough, many of the words I use most often in my writing (like “interestingly” and “enough”!) would never make it onto my list.
